Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy combines therapeutic treatment with the use of essential oils

Essential oils:
  • are extracted from the leaves, flowers, roots and stalks of plants, most commonly by steam distillation
  • contain differing therapeutic properties and are easily absorbed through the skin
  • restore balance and harmony, treating the person rather than a particular condition
  • are blended individually each time, so provide a different treatment for each person
  • may relax or stimulate, but above all, support the body

aims to:
  • promote health
  • enhance overall well-being
  • relieve stress
  • aid the regeneration & rejuvenation of the body
  • provide a positive influence on emotional well-being
  • provide a calming relaxing effect on mental health
  • support those receiving palliative care
  • relieve muscle ache & promote sleep when combined with massage
